Twisted Updo #2

Hey yall,
So after I rinsed my hair I decided to do a quick style that I could wear to an outdoor party and for the rest of the week. For this look I parted my hair in the middle and did mini twists on damp hair and then pulled the rest into a high bun after twisting it in sections. I thought about pinning the twists up but this look won, I used Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie to twist the bangs. I plan to keep my hair in this style until next Saturday's wash day. See the pics below to see the sides and front view! Enjoy:)

Jasmin and Henna Fluff-Ease x Two

Hey yall,
So Saturday night my hair was dry and a mess to say the least. I reached for my Jasmin and Henna Fluff-eaze by LUSH for a somewhat henna gloss. I did a review on this before but I will list a few bullet points on what I did.
-I applied Fluff-eaze to dry hair
-smoothed it down to the ends
-piled my hair on top of my head in a bun
-then placed a shower cap on with a scarf and left it there overnight

The next morning I rinsed my hair and then styled. I used up the rest of the pot so either I will bite the bullet and pay for another (21.95 ouch) or use the henna that I have and make my own henna gloss.

Off the Shoulder T-Shirt

Hey yall,
So I still haven't gotten my camera back yet(I think my sister is delighted in knowing that she can have all the pictures that I never share!) But I was able to steal this off of her facebook, I cute off the neck of the shirt to make it wider along with the sleeves and the bottom. This was a quick project and I actually loved the look, even my cousin wanted to cut up her shirt lol. Since I didn't want my bra strap to show I made sure to wear a black tank under it and this was a hit! Enjoy

P.S. Look how cute my sister is with those flowers in her hair !!!Oh and she cut her shirt too but in a different style to almost make it look like a tank.

Going Back in Time

Hey Folks,
I just wanted to share a few of my old pics with yall. I have been natural for three years and I will admit that I have came a long way. Below in the first picture is my hair in a bun although you can't see the back, I remember being so happy since the winter was coming and this would allow me to do protective styles (also look at Louie as a puppy lol!) The second is a set of twists and front flat twists. The third picture is my first low ponytail( the products in front of me indicate how much of a product junkie I was lol) and the very last is my hair right after I did the big chop! I hope you all enjoy these pics :)

High Bun

Hey yall,
Ok so that banded ponytail lasted for a few days, which I assumed that it would. Once I took the bands of I rubbed a bit of my LUSH R&B through my hair, the middle picture is my hair stretched and the other two pics are of me rocking a high bun. I love high buns they always make me feel very fancy, but I am sure that yall can see that from the last picture lol! Enjoy! :)

LUSH Does it Again!

Hey yall,
So months ago when I went to LUSH I purchased a bath bomb that I had sampled in the store. The lady there dropped a piece of it into a bowl of water and explained how it fizzed and relaxed away a long day. So today I came home from work and came across it sitting in my bathroom. I filled the bathtub and hoped in, it fizzed and smelled of lilac and lavender. I stayed in the purple water for almost an hour and when I got out there was no need for lotion I had the softest skin. I am just in love with LUSH and there products I paid about 5 dollars for this bomb and it was worth it, of course in a busy world a shower is quick but this is also a nice treat! :)

Wash Day

Hey yall,
So today I woke up and tried to save the past twist set that I put in and attempted to rinse my twist in the shower and that was a bad idea. While sitting at work I noticed that my hair had started to unravel in the back, so once I got home I untwisted my hair and co-washed. Right now while typing up this post I am sitting with a wet banded ponytail and this will be my style for at least the next week. I am loving this protective style challenge but have seemed to run out of ideas for my hair. I love twist but I don't have the patience to sit every night and work on my mini twists because they take forever so I guess I am at a road block :(  But anyhoo, this is my hair for the next week or until I figure out what else to do with it. Sorry I can't post a pic because my camera is still with my sister but here is a pic from before. Enjoy!

Goodbye Summer

Hey yall,
So I know that summer isn't officially over but today was Labor Day and we know that this kind of ends the summer. Today was a great day my Aunt and cousins came down from South Carolina and we all had a barbecue. I of course wore my American flag tee that I turned into an off the shoulder t-shirt( think flash dance or 80's inspired look) but I forgot my camera at my sister's house so those pics are coming. Anyhoo, I am still keeping up with the PS challenge and actually took my last set of twists down. I loved the look but my hair was frizzy and looked old, so I put in medium sized twists and have been rocking this style. I plan to keep these in for hopefully two weeks and then put in maybe braids. I hope everyone enjoyed there holiday! :)
