Stepping Outside Of My Comfort Zone: February

This month was extremely short and we spent a good bit of it in the house because of the winter storms. But I did manage to eat salmon, oysters and mussels...it was actually pretty good and I felt silly for not like something I have never tasted lol.

P.S. I also took a birkam yoga class and survived, yoga in a humid room of 100 degrees is no joke.

Twists Update

So I thought that blowing my hair out and then twisting it would be easier to twist also make my twists last longer, but I have experienced a lot of shrinkage. I think this warm weather and the high humidity at yoga are the ones to blame...but I'm embracing it.

Cabin Fever And Twists

So Wednesaday night I washed my hair and blow dried it on low in small sections with a little crisco (my new fav item) I then proceded to twist my hair all the way down to the ends, I normally leave them half lose to wear the ends curly but I wanted a change. I actually enjoyed this new method not including the time to dry my hair these twists only took me seven hours. See the pic below.

P.S. The snow and ice melted by Friday and I was back to work but then Friday night we had a small earthquake...eek!

Wash n Go

So I washed my hair Saturday with my normal routine and wanted to wear my hair out this week. I parted it in the back and left some hair down and then pulled the rest into a bun. I used Ecostyler gel(olive oil) on the hair I left down and got these amazing curls. I just can wait until it gets warmer out so I can rock a wash and go with my hair down. We are preparing for yet another ice storm here in Atlanta so I knew I could walk around with wet hair for a few days, so I had to pull out my hand dry to help my hair dry. Stay warm folks!
