So it has been hot and rainy for the past few weeks so I am still wearing my chunky twists but I wanted to show y'all my nails and hair. I'm wearing a high ponytail and Mrs. Mint by Funky Fingers. I had a surprise brunch for my half birthday,my sister planned this for me since my actual birthday is in November and it is always cold by then. I had so much fun!
I am so excited that summer is here that means warm weather, sun and fun! I went out yesterday for brunch and had so much fun maybe too much (drinking bottomless mimosa lol) but hey it's the weekend :)
P.S I used a piece of fabric as a wrap for my hair it was only 64 cents at Hancock Fabrics!!
So I having been trying to keep my hair in braid outs but the heat has been getting to me we have had a few days in the low 90s and with the humidity my hair is a puff ball by the end of the day lol. So on Saturday I co-washed my hair and then lightly blew it out on low heat in four sections. I whipped some Shea butter and begun doing chunky twists they took me about two hours and I plan to leave my hair twisted for two weeks. They are down in the picture I took, but I am currently rocking them in a large high bun.
P.S who else is excited for Summer starting this week!?!?! I know I am :)
So on Saturday I washed my hair and decided to use the new Shea Butter Curling Custard by Cantu and I love it! This is a great alternative to Kinky Curly it left my hair defined and moisturized, the hold is amazing and best of all it doesn't flake. The 12 oz jar only cost me 5.97 at my Walmart! I plan on trying it with some flax seed gel to see how it holds, but so far I am sold!!!
So I started taking my mini braids down yesterday and they took forever! Surprisingly my hair wasn't too tangled but was extremely dirty. I washed my hair for what seemed like hours in small sections of twelve. I used a new product on my hair and pulled it into a high ponytail. Stay tuned for the review in the next post once my hair has completely dried.
