Working Out and Natural Hair

So yesterday it was about 92 degrees out and I decided to take Louie with me to walk the track at the dog park by my house. This of course was short lived Louie barked at everybody or anything that got near us so we left. I came home and decided to just hit the gym. After a good hour workout I came home and decided to skip cowashing since my hair felt dry. Well last night around midnight I got a bad case of itchy scalp and took down my bun and pre-pooed with vatika oil. I cowashed and bunned my hair today but of course it frizzed up a bit. I hope everyone had a happy memorial day!!!

Mother's Day Celebration

So we had a great time celebrating Mother's Day for my Mom & Sis. We went to Carrabba's for dinner and then took my Mom painting at Canvas By U. We had a blast I still haven't washed my hair since I woke up Saturday morning with the worst cold so I am wearing a dirty bun :( I hope everyone had a wonderful time celebrating with their families I know I did.

High Buns & Hair Bows

A simple high bun. I placed my hair in twists but didn't like the look of them so I took them out last night and pulled my hair up. This my be good for the summer, I feel like I am looking for several options since it is still spring but has been in the 90s here in Atlanta.

Two Week Old Twists

Braid Out on Medium Twists

So my twists hit beyond a bit frizzy this weekend. I participated in the March of Dimes walk and get this walked four miles. I was hot and exhausted to say the least since it was about 85 degrees on Saturday but I had so much fun. I felt like I got a chance to explore the city and see things I normally wouldn't see while driving. So once I got home I co-washed and then placed my twists in five large braids and rocked that look for a few days. Well today I took down the braids and loved the look. I went back to work today and everyone assumed that I went to the beach because I was tanned and wavy lol. See the pics below.

Twisted Up..Again

So I know it has been a while since I have posted but I will try my best to catch you guys up to speed. So last weekend I went to a friend's wedding and wanted to do something different and fun with my hair. Well knowing how I am I attempted the style days before just in case I didn't like it ( I wanted to avoid rushing out the door at the last minute especially because it was out of town). So I tried a fishtail braid...umm yeah let's say it was horrible I tried it on stretched hair and it was frizzy and you could hardly tell it was a fishtail. So I tried doing it on wet hair and again it was horrible, and of course I didn't take pics of it. So for the wedding I wore my hair in a low bun and pinned a flower on the side. So Thursday night I came home washed my hair and decided to use Coco Curls to do a wet set of medium sized twists. It was warm today so I pulled them up and because I did them while wet the shrinkage factor came in(grrr). Anyhoo, I did some work today and re-opened iheartcurls for business. Remember when I talked about almost passing out from a headband headache a couple of months ago??? Well I re-opened and am giving a hand at them.
